Tandou scorns GPG

THE board of listed farm business Tandou has unanimously recommended that shareholders reject a hostile bid by Guinness Peat Group.

GPG extended its offer of 30c cash per share to buy 50 per cent or any lesser number of shares until February 15, The Australian Financial Review reports..

Tandou chairman Dick Warburton said the offer had obtained less than 1 per cent of acceptances over the past three months.
