After retiring from the chairmanship of AWB, Brendan Stewart's immediate focus is on the upcoming harvest at his family property at Chinchilla, Queensland.
It will be a busy time, although a good one – with yields in the region looking solid.
Following that, he will take a break and then assess his priorities, which include running the consultancy business he has set up in Brisbane.
The business will focus on strategy and business development and will not be agriculture specific.
"I've done a lot of work on board development and management issues in my time at AWB and it is something I will be looking at in the consultancy," Mr Stewart said.
