RISING machinery sales have signalled a boost in agricultural market confidence, with Case IH dealerships in the midst of delivering the highest number of combine harvesters in many years.
With the new 88 and 20 Series Axial-Flow combines proving themselves in-field, and limited units still available, growers are being urged to upgrade now and potentially take advantage of the Federal Government’s 50 percent Small Business Tax Break incentives.
“Confidence in the new 88 and 20 Series combines, coupled with good availability, means we’re now working hard to pre-deliver an almost record number of combines in time for the winter crop harvest,” southern Qld's Sunstate Ag header specialist, Rick Spies said.
“The trend we’re witnessing is actually reflected across the industry as a whole.
"Rural equipment market analysts, Agriview, report that combine sales over the past 12 months are up 70 percent on the previous year."
Rick says the impressive performance of the new model Axial-Flow combine harvesters has helped drive demand.
He says the new 88 and 20 series Axial-Flow combine harvesters were able to deliver some “truly oputstanding results” during the recent summer crop harvest.
“We’ve had some feedback on the performance of the 8120 Axial-Flow from a leading contract harvester who reported a peak performance of 147t/hour, and an average of 110t/hour in uneven crop conditions in the recent sorghum harvest.
"In a good even crop, they reckon they could have easily averaged 140t/hour."
Feedback from the field also indicates Case IH’s Axial-Flows are getting the ‘thumbs-up’ because they are easy to maintain, plus are comfortable.
Also keeping dealers busy are great deals on tractors Case IH is offering during September.
“We’re currently running a special program offering farmers a $1000 Visa gift card when they purchase selected tractors before the end of September,” Rick Spies said.
