The wool market improved yesterday, with the national indicator rising 7c/kg (+0.8pc) to 857c/kg (clean).
AWEX reported last night that region by region the market indices were:
* the northern indicator had gained 5c/kg to sit at 892c/kg;
* the southern indicator had risen 10c/kg to 829c/kg; and
* the western indicator had jumped 7c/kg to 839c/kg.
In Melboure and Sydney the biggest gains were for 19 and 21 micron wools, while in the west 23m wools made the biggest gains.
There were 18,542 bales offered for sale yesterday at the three centres, of which 9.4pc was passed in.
