This week many in the southwest of Western Australia will get their biggest rainfall in about two months.
WeatherZone predicts much of the Southwest and Southern Coastal could gain 15 to 30mm during this week.
Less will fall in the Lower West and southern parts of the Central Wheat Belt and Goldfields where five to 15mm is likely for most. Northern parts of the wheat belt will not do as well.
Showers and storms will begin in an isolated and light fashion on Monday and be mostly confined to inland parts.
Falls will be mainly less than five millimetres and east of about Badgingarra to Bickley.
As an inland trough deepens on Tuesday showers and storms will become heavier and more widespread with falls of five to 15mm possible.
Some of these showers and storms will reach the south coast and are a fair chance to reach the west coast, including Perth.
Wednesday looks like being the day for the most widespread and heaviest falls as a strong cold front crosses the region, bringing five to 15mm south of about Perth to Kalgoorlie. Hail is a chance with help from the colder air.
By next weekend most of southern WA will have returned to cold mornings and mostly sunny days.
