Mr Mumme will oversee the operation of Grain Pool, including the acquisition and export of wheat, barley, canola and lupins as well as grain trading through the Grain Pool's agent, AgraCorp.

Mr Mumme joins the CBH Group from BP, London, where he held the position of head of manufacturing – international supply and trading, oil Europe and financial.

CBH says that in this position, Mr Mumme gained extensive experience in international supply chains, specifically in the areas of marketing, shipping, trade and operations.

The CBH Group believes his unique blend of skills and experience will be a valuable asset in leading Grain Pool well into the future and building on its achievements in the newly deregulated market.

The appointment of Mr Mumme will be effective from August 11.
