THE Sheepmeat Council of Australia & Woolproducers Australia have put out a What You Need To Know factsheet on The National OJD Management Plan 2012-17.

January 2004 saw the Bull report implemented with market based controls (national program followed 6 months later); no one forces anyone to buy sheep. Extension has worked by now or it will never work; the same for market tools (SHS).

Johne’s is a threat for its link to human health (unproven but don’t ignore specialists treating Crohns by treating the mycobacterium) and animal welfare; economic success MUST solely be in producers' hands.

National programs? Futile effort, producers won’t change behaviour no matter what program is in place.
