China retreat hurts skin market

THE closure of one China’s largest tanning areas has sparked a skin price tumble last week with prices falling $1 a skin across all categories, Meat and Livestock Australia report.

Lambskins over two inches and Merino skins less than one inch suffered the largest losses.

MLA put the closure down to a reaction to pollution concerns.
